This busy mom devotional Putting On the Spirit is set up to only take 10 minutes each day. Know what? I don’t always have 10 minutes… not in a row, anyway. So I was able to do this devotional in bites, all throughout the day. The Lord loves to speak to me like that. I can leave it on the counter or up on the computer, read a tidbit, and then walk away. I have spiritual food to chew on for the next hour or two until I can get back to it for a moment. Then I’ll do an activity, read in scripture, or whatever is next. I’ll do that 3 or 4 times all day, and by the end of the day the Lord has used the devotional to really speak to me. Even me, a busy mom in amongst all the homeschooling, toddler fits, work at home, online crazyness that goes on here on a regular basis.

I really loved that not only could I take all day to delve into this “10 minute busy mom devotional,” but it lead me to go even further. I didn’t do the whole book one day after another. In fact, I’m still working through it, because the Lord has been taking me to and through a fruit study for a while now. It’s a seasonal thing, I suppose. Katie’s book is a great starter for someone like me, who loves to delve in super deep but doesn’t really have time to do all the reading and the research and the actually diving in part. I need to have an outline to follow, a map to guide me. Katie’s book is exactly that. It’s exactly deep enough to lead me into relationship with my Lord, and it is my Lord who is leading me deeper than that.

Think you don’t have time for devotions? Try this busy mom devotional. If you have 10 minutes, you have time. If you have 2 minutes at a time 4 or 5 times a day, you have time. If you draw near to the Lord, he will draw near to you. James 4:8

Not only that, it is FREE for Kindle, for a limited time (ENDED) on Amazon! No more excuses – let’s do this!
