Blog Mission

This blog is about a few things. This is my mission statement.

It’s about my life as a Christian wife and mother. That includes homeschooling, which naturally includes reading, crafting, and lots of kids. It’s about my learning homesteading activities, and getting better with the whole homemaking gig. I’ve always wanted to stay home with my kids, I’m just not good at most of it. The old addage about a creative mind is never tidy is certainly true, but with Christ I’m overcoming! My home and family are my first mission field.

Part of what I do on this blog is promote Christian companies. With the way things are in this world, in this economy, in this country, I feel that the Lord would have us put our money where our mouths are and not just talk the talk but walk the walk. That goes to supporting those businesses who uphold Biblical values over those who do not. I promote Christian businesses on this website in many ways: through product reviews, through shared activities, through service and website reviews, and gift guides. But the main thing I want to do for Christian Business is to provide a comprehensive online directory. I want to become a resource for followers of Christ, the place you go when you want to spend money with a reputable company. Some of those companies are just individuals, stay at home moms like myself, trying to make a living off of a talent the Lord blessed them with, and some of those companies are giants. It’s about making wise decisions and doing all to glorify God.

This blog is also about the Lord’s calling on my life, the Lord’s mission for me. Some of those missions include teaching women, and the Titus 2 relationship. The Lord has taught me things, some practical and some spiritual, and has put it on my heart to share those lessons with others. I hope someone can be blessed through my experiences. The Lord has also called me to write; that has some to do with the things I mentioned already, with teaching women, and with homeschooling. It has some to do with His divine provision in my life and that of my family. It has some to do with giving me a creative outlet and providing for the desires of my heart. And it has some to do with working out my own spiritual growth through the necessary study and heart involvement that goes into my writing. He’s gifted me with this, and is using it for my benefit in all areas of life.
